Family Glow

I have started jogging and signed up the whole family for a "light up the night" 5k that started at 8:30p. We had a lot of fun and Shorty picked up as many glow necklaces and sticks as she could from the ground. Here are the other three.

Kaia Babydoll dress for a new niece

I knit one of my favorite colorways into a sweet little dress for my sister's new sweetie. It is the Kaia babydoll dress pattern and Camilla with Red Wine trim by Family Roots.

Knitterly posts?

I think I am going to start posting some of my knitting projects here on my blog. I have tried to start knitting for myself because the girls grow. I love knitting for them but sometimes I can't finish something before the intended girl out grows said item. I have knit a shawl for Bear and she wears it. Maybe my shawl collection can be shared by Bear and I. =D Shorty is too little for things like that as of yet.

I have been working on a sweater/top for myself and am pleased. Garment knitting is harder cause I really have to deal with gauge swatching, superwash bases growing, etc. But garment knitting is growing my knitting skills. =D

How old are you Mommy?

I noticed the date today while writing a check for preschool this am. I remarked that it is my half birthday today, really more to myself than to Skunk. But those sharp little girl ears picked up the birthday part and then came the question -

Skunk: "How old are you Mommy?"
Me: "forty and one-half today sweetie."
Skunk: "That is why you are so tall, Mommy!"

I love my sweet girl, her funny sayings and her reasoning.
