KB home WOD

Couldn't jog this am (little one and me home alone this am) and no one meeting at Coach's house so I am on own at home to search the Non Nobis archives. Found the following (mod'ed a little for me to do at home):

Four minute rounds x 5 - air squats, russian kb swings, burpees, rest
round 1 - 37, 31, 10
round 2 - 31, 33, 8
round 3 - 28, 30, 8
round 4 - 30, 30, 8
round 5 - 25, 26, 8

I nearly didn't do round 5. I wanted to finish without regretting my laziness the rest of today, thus my low squat numbers due to exhaustion and quaking quads!

I used my brand new kb from Fringe Sport and it whooped me!

Self directed WOD

On tuesday, the girls made up a wod... Cleans and burpees in escalating numbers - 55# and finished round 9 + 16 extras. Oof!

Today Stef and I just rowed 2500m - 11:59!

Tomorrow I work so no work out, maybe just some push ups and squats. ;)

Wod on my own today and got an interval timer for phone -

Right DB snatches 27-25-26

Left DB snatches 21-21-19

Sit ups - 34-30-29

Last time I did this, numbers were about the same but my weight was 20# this time (15# last time). Hooray for improvement!

Trying to get back to blogging

Life is busy - I help school children, go to work, try to keep laundry done, pick up house, chauffeur young people. My family (minus Shorty) has been doing a CrossFit program since early in 2016. Actually the teenager has been doing it longer but that is ok. I log my WODs on CF days but have started jogging with some friends 1-2 days a week. I will try to start journaling about jogging a bit. I also knit, less than I want to but enough to be theraputic for me. I log my projects on Ravelry but might start posting some pics here as well. Guess I am an older lady who knits now. ;P

Anyway, I am in the stage of life that hurries by. I am trying to savor the messy house, piles of laundry, time in the car because soon enough, these days will be gone. I love our girls and want to live every bit of this with them to remember.

Another school year

School at our house is full on - the kids are in a classical co-operative model school - trivium, latin, and part at school and part at home. Between home days and working, I am just worn out by May when they are "done" with the school year. This is the last week of school and we are all so ready. We do have plans for staying sharp over the summer but we are all ready for a rest and a slower paced schedule. We just need to make it through Thursday ... but then the big one has two (yes, TWO) parties on Friday and attending graduation on Friday evening. Ha! The blessing of chauffeuring continues cause soon enough she will ask for the keys and be off. I will be crying this week... I do cry a lot anyway but the mile stones remind me of how life flows by and this is a blessed time in theirs and mine.
